MLK Movie

So the word is that a Martin Luther King Jr. movie is in the works.  I know that everyone is thinking that there has already been a few MLK movies, but there hasn't been any films that have been mainstream and that really have left an impact like MLK. I think this is the perfect time for this movie to showcase where we have come from and places that we still can work on.

"In recent weeks, both DreamWorks and Warners realized that one project had the thumbs-up of the estate and the other was backed by years of research, meaning a team-up would best tell the MLK tale. Salem will now write a new script with the estate’s backing. Three members of the King family — Dexter, Bernice and Martin Luther King II — are acting as executive producers." (http://www.eurweb.com/)

So everyone get ready to see MLK's life across the big screen. I know I am ready are you?

NFL Lockout?

So the word is that after the reports of the NFL lockout not going into affect. now officials are saying that it is back on SMH. But if you do not know what the lockout is all about let me inform you: "The NFL and the NFL Players' Association are currently in negotiations to install a new collective bargaining agreement before the 2011 season. The two parties last modified the collective bargaining agreement in March 2006, when it was extended for five years. NFL owners decided to opt out of that agreement in 2008, though, and played the 2010 season without a salary cap."

"The current agreement will expire on March 3, 2011, and if the two parties cannot come to an agreement before the 2011 season it is possible -- and exceedingly likely -- the NFL will face a lockout. To try and avoid that, the two sides have agreed to federal mediation, which began on Feb. 18, 2011."(espn.com)

Either way this is crazy, what are a lot of people going to do without the NFL. But I guess that will help people appreciate the league more. I hope everything works out. I'll keep everyone up dated.

Kate Middleton Wedding Dress Designer is Sarah Burton

It's no longer a mystery, Kate Middleton's wedding dress designer is Sarah Burton, head designer for Alexander McQueen. Discover the amazing craftsmanship behind Catherine
Middleton's marvelous wedding gown and her exquisite veil and find out what jewelry she wore for her royal wedding to Prince William.

Ever since the royal engagement was announced, the world has been waiting impatiently to see Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Today the royal bride finally walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey wearing a stunning lace wedding gown, designed by no other than Sarah Burton of the Alexander McQueen fashion house.

Dress

Kate Middleton herself worked closely with the designer to make sure she'll get the perfect gown for the royal wedding. The ivory satin bridal gown featured a lace applique bodice with a restrained, high lace collar, long lace sleeves and an 8 foot long train. The gown's bodice was narrowed down the waist and padded at the hips inspired by Victorian corsetry.

Veil

Kate's silk tulle veil was embroidered with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock lace flowers. The intricate lace was hand-crafted at London's Royal School of Needlework based at Hampton Court Palace.

Shoes

Kate Middleton's shoes were also designed by the McQueen fashion house, made of ivory satin with hand-embroidered lace details to complement her wedding gown perfectly.

Tiara

The diamond tiara topped Kate Middleton's wedding hairstyle, which she wore in her trademark loose waves pulled back into a half updo. The tiara was lent to her by the Queen, which was given to her by Cartier in 1938 for her 18th birthday when she was still a princess.

Earrings

The royal bride accessorized with pear-shaped diamond earrings designed by fine jeweler Robinson Pelham and were inspired by the Middleton's new coat of arms, which was given to the family earlier this month.

Bouquet

Kate Middleton’s wedding bouquet was made up of myrtle, lily of the valley, sweet William and hyacinth, designed by Shane Connolly. The flowers from her bridal bouquet all have a special meaning: the myrtle is the emblem of love and marriage, the lily of the valley is the return of happiness, sweet William stands for gallantry, while the hyacinth symbolizes constancy of love.

Designer feedback

Top fashion designers all over the world expressed their excitement about Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld said: "She is very elegant. The dress is classic and goes very well in the Westminster decor. It almost reminds me of (Queen) Elizabeth’s wedding, the royal weddings in the Fifties. The proportion of the train is good. The lace is very pretty. I like the veil a lot."
French couturier Christian Lacroix cited the likeness of the royal wedding gown to 1956 Grace Kelly and 1947 Queen Elizabeth dresses, while Donatella Versace simply said: "Kate's dress was beautiful. She looked very regal."

Royal Wedding Guests Outfits and Fashion

Apparently not only the Royal family dazzled at the big event today, but most of the guests expected by the Royal house, so check out the Royal wedding guests
fashion outfits and pick your favorites!

With the Royal Wedding continuing behind closed doors, in a private reception, the attention has been diverted towards the guests who arrived to celebrate this important event. Kate Middleton's wedding gown and Prince William's wedding attire have been admired by millions of people across the world and now it's time for the rest of the crowd.

The Royal Wedding requires a certain attire and since not everyone has the opportunity to participate at such a high-class event, the guests have brought out the best from their wardrobe. The Royal Wedding guests arriving at the Westminster Abbey dazzled with their amazing designer dresses, fancy hats and flawless style, so check out some of the celebrities who have managed to stand out of the crowd!

Among the favorite appearances at the Royal bash were Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton's sister and chief maid of honour, who wore an amazing floor-length white dress. It seems that good taste runs in the family as with such a dress Pippa captured a generous amount of attention and positive critiques.
Pippa's silk white dress glided around her slender figure and showed off her feminine forms in a very elegant manner. The font of the dress revealed a lovely subtle draping cleavage while the back was kept simple, with just a few silk covered buttons following the spine-line. The dress was also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, but in a much simpler manner, so it didn't overshadow the bride.

Another great pair who made a stunning impression at the Royal Wedding at Westminster Abbey was David and Victoria Beckham. The British couple opted for a classic timeless style, Victoria selecting a gorgeous baggy navy boat neck tunic dress from her latest fashion collection, AW 2011. To complete her stunning look, pregnant Victoria rocked a gorgeous pair of custom, super-high Christian Louboutin shoes and a lovely Phillip Treacy hat to spice-up her simple sleek ponytail hairstyle.

Princess Beatrice always manages to attract attention and she enchanted the crowd with a lovely Valentino couture, blush colored coat dress. The dress featured a great lattice collar detail that gave a stylish edge to the outfit. A stylish fascinator is indeed a must at exquisite events and this time Princess Beatrice complemented her outfit with a bold Phillip Treacy bow-style headpice.

Princess Victoria of Sweden looked amazing in a lovely, long sleeved, mid-length peach colored dress. The dress signed Ellie Saab complemented her figure, skin tone and accessorized with suede platform shoes from the designer's SS2011 collection.

Another great and edgy appearance was made by Tara Palmer Tomkinson, who strolled into Abbey looking as elegant as ever in a electric blue Kingfisher cocktail dress paired with a gorgeous pair of matching blue peep toe high heel pumps. To complete her look, Tara opted for a matching blue hat and clutch.

On the other hand, Kate Middleton's mother, Carole, opted for a classy light blue Catherine Walker dress, paired with a large brimmed hat by Jane Corbett and a pair of suede neutral/grey heels. The look was flawless and fit for a Royal mom.

Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince William's step mom, opted for a dress by the same designer she chose for her wedding outfit in 2005, when she married Prince Charles. Anna Valentine created a gorgeous two tone champagne and blue coat featuring hand embroidered details around the waistline, coat paired with a lovely matching champagne dress. She completed her look with a gorgeous Phillip Treacy hat and a pair of neutral Jimmy Choo heels.

The Queen looked bright and joyful at the ceremony wearing an Angela Kelly signature single crepe wool primrose dress featuring hand sewn beading around the neck area and a matching double crepe wool tailored primrose coat. The same designer created a matching crepe hat adorned with two handmade silk roses and matching apricot colored leaves.
