3-Foot Iron Rod Speared Kid (3 Years Old)

THREE-YEAR-OLD Mehul Kumar is lucky to be alive after being speared through the torso with a 3-foot (1 metre) iron rod.

The boy, from Jharkand, India, was rushed to the hospital after he impaled himself falling off a terrace and onto a rod last week.

The boy was fully conscious when he arrived at the hospital. Doctors removed the rod during a 4-hour operation and said he had lost a lot of blood and suffered some injuries, but "nothing major."

"Opening the abdomen, we discovered his liver was injured, the stomach was injured, but thankfully, the spleen and pancreas were safe," said surgeon Sandeep Aggarwal said. "The child was lucky that he did not suffer any major injury but yes he had substantial injuries."

Aggarwal praised Mehul for his strong willpower.

Mehul was playing with colours on the terrace when he fell on an iron rod left standing on the under-construction terrace, his uncle Raja Kumar Viswakarma, said. The rod pierced through his body and then broke, resulting in his fall from the roof.

In July last year, Supratim Dutta had similarly been impaled by a 5-foot long (1.5 metre) iron bar that had pierced through his chest in New Delhi. Supratim was saved by the doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Cutiest Love Story - A Dolphin Fallen In Love With A Tiger !!

They would never meet in the wild.

So perhaps it's natural that when their paths did cross, both were curious.

This young tiger and dolphin were mutually fascinated as they stared at each other through the glass of the tank at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California.

Paws for thought: Mavrick and Akaasha have a close encounter as another dolphin looks on.

The pair examined each other from all angles possible - then Mavrick the dolphin blew an approving bout of bubbles at Akaasha, the Bengal tiger.

Staff were taking Akaasha, who is a six-month-old female tiger cub, on her daily walk around the theme park when she noticed Mavrick, who is a 14-month-old Atlantic bottlenose dolphin yesterday.

Snout to whiskers: Their shared curiousity meant Mavrick dipped down to get a better view and Akaasha strained to get closer to the glass

Mavrick cocked his head as Akaasha strained to get closer to the glass, perhaps bewildered as to why she could not catch the scent of this strange new creature grinning at her from another world.

It may be the start of a beautiful friendship.

World's First Jumbo Hostel On A Plane !!

The world's first built guesthouse onboard a real Boeing 747-200 has touched down at Stockholm Arlanda Airport ..

"It's just fantastic and unbelievably exciting to finally be able to show something so unique and special for the rest of the world," says Gisela Olsson, Site Manager at the Jumbo Hostel.

It's even possible to wake up to the sight of real planes taxiing on the airport's runways through the windows in your room.

The hostel features a reception and lounge area, complete with candlelit tables and a retro company logo.

One of the 25 rooms to choose from once you get on board.

Guests (or is that passengers?) have the chance to sleep in the cockpit of the aircraft...

Terrorist Leader Laden On A Wine Bottle

A TASMANIAN winery has launched a new range of wines with labels featuring terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

Another label reproduces an image that surfaced from the torture scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, of a hooded prisoner with electric wires attached to his hands.

The wines are being produced by the Moorilla winery, owned by millionaire gambler David Walsh, in Hobart's northern suburbs.

The images are taken from political graffiti from the streets of Hobart and Melbourne.

The stencil image of bin Laden goes next to a graffiti message reading "all you need is love".

Beneath the torture image are the words "Iraqi liberation".

Moorilla has previously produced an erotic sex-and-death themed "Muse" wine series.

Moorilla winemaker Conor Van der Reest said, the temporary and contemporary nature of street art suited the drink-now ethos of the new "Praxis" wines.

"It's not a question of us trying to confront people," Mr van der Reest said. "It's more a chronicling of stuff that's current, either in art or world events."

The Holy Figure Appears In A Lava Lamp - Miracle !!

Holy lamp ... a Sydney man says a "miracle" made an image of the Virgin Mary cradling baby Jesus appear in his lava lamp.He has since set up a shrine to the lamp.

The man who identified himself only as John Smith of Sydney has set up a shrine to the lava lamp in his home and also the holymarylamp.com website.

“This is a true, tangible miracle that is not just an optical illusion. It is visible in all directions and permanently frozen in this shape,” he told news.com.au.

“This happened about a year ago and I have kept the lamp hidden since. I now want the world to know of its existence.”

Mr Smith waxes lyrical about the lamp and its effects on the website, which only had 251 visitors yesterday, and says it has helped him with job offers, money and even in finding a partner.

“I had been going through a tough time and was paying for a sign … a divine sign from God that I was not alone and that all would work out fine,” he explains on the website.
