(Imitation of Christ Spring 2012)
The minute I saw that Imitation of Christ's show was released, I knew it was going to be good! Tara Subkoff never disapointed us and she knows how to deliver a good show. This year, she relaunched her brand as remade vintage. And to make everything more interesting, Lydia Hearst got married in front of the fashion audience...for REAL!!! The models played bridesmaids and groomsmen wearing IOC's suits and dresses.
As for the collection itself, it's mostly influenced by the Depression Era with lots of lace and flapper dresses. Although the wedding theme perhaps didn't permit, I would have also like to see more variety in pieces, like pants, jackets, etc. However, I must say, the wedding gown worn by Lydia is to die for!
