EW
has the first shots of Lily Collins in character as Snow White, a film based on the original fairytale. The release date is slated for March 16th, 2012, but the project still remains title-less.

Lily talked about her character with EW, assuring the reader that her role is true to the Snow White we are familiar with, only with a modern twist.

“She’s very much that fairy tale princess we’ve all read about in books. She’s been modernized in a way that she becomes a fighter in the end," Lily said.

"I keep saying to everyone I feel like I’m walking into a snow globe, a fairy tale, every single day. It’s so     epic. I was part of a costume ball today, so you can only imagine the outfits."

The cast includes Julia Roberts who will star as the evil Queen and Armie Hammer (The Social Network) who will play prince charming.

Hold on!

Kristen Stewart is also staring as Snow White, only in a different project, titled Snow White and the Huntsman. Her project has an equal amount of star power behind it, with Chris Hemsworth starring as the huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil Queen. This version is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2012, only months after the previously mentioned untitled project hits the big screen.

Two movies with the same premise being released roughly at the same time? How did that happen...Better yet, who do you think will star as a better Snow White, Lily Collins or Kristen Stewart?

I'm torn on this one.
