Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has set some large records over the weekend. The film scored honors for largest midnight debut, largest opening day, and biggest opening weekend.
The film earned a total of $168.6 million in sales over the weekend, beating the previous record of $158.4 million set by The Dark Knight. That means Warner Bros. now holds the title for the top 2 best opening weekend numbers ever.
Also, the final Harry Potter movie currently holds the title for best reviewed wide release film of the year according to both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.
That's a good way to go out, isn't it?
