Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow's Part 2 World Premiere

The fashion at the World premiere of the final Harry Potter film surprised me; it was fantastic! In fact, it was so great, I felt it was deserving of it's own post.

Take a look for yourself:

Emma Watson in Oscar de la Renta:

This Oscar de la Renta ball gown is extremely high fashion. Evidently, Emma Watson decided to go all out for the final Harry Potter film, showcasing her transition from child star to world-renowned actress -- in my opinion, she succeeded!

The dress has such fine detail, I think we have to deconstruct it piece by piece to fully appreciate how phenomena this ethereal gown really is.

So here we go: the bottom half is composed of ash colored tulle that is ruffled gently to create a full skirt. The top half consists of a sleeveless bodice with an almost nude base that is covered in silver embroidery. The contrast of tight and loose fitting elements creates a whimsical princess look that is both extremely elegant but somehow age appropriate for the younger actress.

I love this dress on her!

Emma Watson in Elie Saab:

The actress decided to change dresses for the after party (likely for comfort reasons) and chose Elie Saab for her second look of the night. The stone colored Spring 2011 Couture mini dress featured mass embroidery and a grosgrain belt at the waist. She completed her look with a pair of satin open toed Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

Clemence Poesy in Nina Ricci:

Clemence Poesy attended the world premiere in a silk chiffon mini dress with lots of frills from Nina Ricci's Spring 2011 collection. The monochromatic look is completed with a black belt and black Nina Ricci wedges.

You can't see it in this shot but the dress is actually backless. With the short hemline and backless detailing, the dress is actually sexier than it leads on.

Mollie King in Julien Macdonald:

The Saturday's singer walked the red carpet in my favorite dress of the night! The dress is stunning and screams summer. I love everything about it and would purchase it in a heartbeat.

The Julien Macdonald Peignoir Petal Print fishtail dress is from the labels 2011 collection. It is composed of silk chiffon and showcases a fringed train that has an airy feel to it. Perfect for a July premiere, no?

Jade Gordon in Bowie:

If she doesn't look familiar, it's because she was usually backstage working as the stunt coordinator's assistant for the latest Harry Potter film. Why is she on the red carpet you ask? Well, Jade Gordon is also Tom Felton's girlfriend.

I have to admit, she looks extremely natural and composed, like she's been walking red carpets for years (or practicing). Her wardrobe choice is also impressive. She selected a bridal-esque dress by Australian designer Bowie. The white mermaid style gown has a tight bodice that subtly falls into a wider flower applique skirt.

Not bad for a beginner.
