There was so much fashion happening this week! I have to split up the 'Great Looks From This Week' section into different categories to avoid overload. You'll see why.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ended their tour of Canada this week. I kept insisting I wanted to see Kate in more color, especially red, but that didn't happen in Ottawa. We got navy, white, gray and one purple dress.
Then all of a sudden, she's spotted wearing a bright red dress on Thursday and another bright green dress on Friday. I was stunned.
William and Kate arrived in Calgary on Thursday and quickly changed into matching cowboy inspired outfits to attend the Calgary Stampede. Doesn't Will look cute?
Kate wore an Alice by Alice Temperley printed white blouse from the Resort 2012 collection and a pair of dark denim boot cut jeans by Goldsign. Brown cowboy boots and a white oversize cowboy hat completed her fun and festive look.
On day 9 of their tour in Canada, William and Kate visited the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. The Duchess wore a Catherine Walker Marianne Coat dress in a very patriotic red! The dress cinches her waist and flares at the skirt. She paired the Queen's diamond maple lead brooch with her favorite nude L.K. Bennett pumps and a nude clutch.
This is by far, my favorite dress from the entire tour of North America!
William and Kate said goodbye to Canada and arrived at LAX Airport in Los Angeles yesterday to kick off their brief stay in California. I heard they were staying at the Beckham's!
The dove-gray dress is from the Spring 2011 collection by London based designer Roksanda Ilinic. The skirt features feminine pleat detailing and a draped neckline -- the waistband emphasizes her petite frame nicely. She matched with a new pair of nude L.K. Bennett pumps (these ones do not have a platform) and an L.K. Bennett nude clutch.
I wonder if her old L.K. Bennett's with the platform have been destroyed? She did wear them 30 times on this tour alone.
At a private reception held at the British Consul- General's, Catherine decided to wear a pop of color for the second day in a row! The Diane Von Furstenburg (DVF) silk Maja dress is a conservative style, featuring a 3/4 sleeve and above the knee hemline.
I guess that's Kate's logic, 'if i do color, the style must be conservative.' Her tighter fitting, shorter hemline dresses have been navy, white, or gray. On the odd occasion she wears color, the style is longer and more conservative.
She accessorized with a DVF snakeskin clutch and of course, nude L.K. Bennett pumps.
