The Biebs: Anti- Texting Campaign

I'm telling you, the Biebs is really winning me over. Slowly but surely I am catching Bieber fever (if I haven't already).

It's not his singing, his acting, or his perfume. It's the little things that get me, like wearing a Kelly Kapowski T-shirt, touring with his mom, and using his fame for good!

Justin Bieber has paired up with PhoneGuard's Drive Save software to launch an anti-texting-while-driving campaign.

"We need to change the attitudes in our society toward texting and driving and I am making it one of my personal goals to make this happen," Bieber said.

The software he is promoting disables any keyboard function on a phone when the vehicle is going  faster than 10 miles per hour. That means texting and emailing is not an option when the car is in motion.

"Every night we perform, we have a banner that goes up that says 'Don't Text and Drive' so it really means a lot to me."

Justin Bieber is also hoping that by creating awareness towards texting and driving, more people will get involved with charities such as the Remember Alex Brown Foundation which was set up in memorial of Alex Brown, a teenager who died while texting and driving.

"There are too many young people, like Alex Brown, whom we've lost because of texting while driving, and it is my hope that, through this partnership with PhoneGuard, we will raise awareness of this issue and create safer conditions for everyone on the road," Bieber confirmed.

Hopefully the superstar can change some minds and create awareness regarding the seriousness of texting while driving, a senseless act that when avoided, can save your life and others.
