Katie Holmes attended the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards on Wednesday June 15th in Beverly Hills, California. The actress was honored with the Max Mara Woman in Film “Face of the Future” Award.
Holmes took a moment to talk to reporters about the necessity of creative agency in film and the role that women can play in this process.” I think it’s important for everyone in Hollywood to keep working and creating different stories. You look at women like Lucille Ball — she created her show and she was an incredible woman of her time… We have to keep creating,” said Holmes.
The actress looked simply amazing accepting her award in a strapless black and white dress by MaxMara. The top featured lace detailing and a simple bow was showcased at the waist. The dress is equally elegant and figure flattering. She completed her look with a pair of nude pumps and wore her hair in loose waves.
In the past, I’ve found the actress’ style choices to be bland and often overly ‘mature’ for someone in their early thirties. I love that she is showing off her legs, arms, and chest. I also love that the dress is flirty and feminine. If this is an indication of what’s to come of Katie Holmes’ style choices, I can’t wait!
