NBC, CBS, ABC And FOX Announce Fall and Winter Lineups: Find Out Who's Missing.

It’s that time of year! Die hard fans are holding their breath and hoping that their favorite TV series will be picked up for another season. ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX have all announced what sitcoms and drama's their keeping, and which ones get the axe.

CBS has announced that they will be cutting the sitcoms $#*! My Dad Says staring William Shatner and the romantic comedy Mad Love. Surprisingly, the legal comedy-drama, The Defenders staring James Belushi and Jerry O’Connell was cut after only one season. The drama was set in Las Vegas and took a comedic approach to your typical courtroom drama.

NBC has only canceled two dramas to date, which include the new series Law and Order: LA and the sci-fi drama, The Event, which loosely dealt with aliens roaming the earth.

I’m particularly upset with Fox for cutting my favourite new drama, The Chicago Code. The new drama is based on members of the Chicago justice system attempting to cut crime on the streets and within the corrupt system. Other drama’s that were canceled: Lie to Me and The Human Target. Mid-season comedies Traffic Light and Breaking In will not be returning.

Finally, ABC seems to have gone on a cancellation spree, having axed the most dramas and sitcoms from their lineup. Out of all the cancellations, from all the networks, the series likely to have the most following, and the most disappointed viewers, would be Brothers and Sisters; the drama finished its fifth season this spring. The sci-fi series V which aired for two seasons and, new drama’s No Ordinary Family, Detroit 1-8-7, and Off the Map also got the boot.  Comedies that will not be returning include Better With You and Matthew Perry’s comedy Mr. Sunshine based on a lonely sports arena manager who just turns 40. Perry, best known for his role as Chandler on Friends, announced his return to rehab following the shows cancelation

I’m disappointed that Fox’s The Chicago Code and CBS’s The Defenders were cut. I saw a lot of potential for great story lines and character development in both series. Did any of your favorite shows get the axe?
